Edward L. Hill, 59, of Chandler Road, North Providence, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Fatima Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Renaud) Hill. Born in Milton, Massachusetts, he was a son of Eleanor (Flood) Hill of Charlestown and the late Edward C. Hill. He had lived in Smithfield before moving to North Providence 28 years ago. He began his teaching career at the Smithfield High School over 28 years ago. He was the Science Department Chairman before becoming the Technology Coordinator for the Smithfield School Department. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degree. He was a founding member and Past President of NE Magic Collectors, a member of the Society of American Magicians, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Order of Merlin and was the Past President of the RI Society of Magicians. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, David and Danielle Hill, both of North Providence, and his brothers; George Hill and his wife,Cathy of South Kingstown and Charles Hill and his wife, Nancy, of Weymouth, MA. A Visitation will be held Monday 3-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common,Greenville. Funeral Private.
